Research Assistant, Computer-Assisted Language Learning

Specialty Areas: Applied Linguistics; Computer Assisted Language Learning.

We are looking for a part-time research assistant to work on the organizing of and reporting on the evaluation of on-line language teaching materials within the context of a two year Lifelong Learning Programme project, AUTOLEARN, funded by the European Commission.

Requirements:

  • IT-literate and able to administer the local testing of the learning materials in collaboration with secondary schools and university-level, second language training institutions.
  • Relevant experience in language teaching (abroad as well as in Spain).
  • Required Language(s): English, and Spanish and/or Catalan desirable
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification (Masters degree, e.g. applied linguistics and/or foreign language teaching) as well as the proven ability to engage with colleagues to secure their collaboration.

Ideally:

  • Knowledge and experience in evaluation and assessment of (computer-enhanced) learning experiences is desirable.
