Quality and environment

Barcelona Media, is a technological centre dedicated to applied research in the field of communication and the media and to the knowledge and technology transfer into the industry of this sector.

Barcelona Media’s mission is to increase the competitiveness of the communication and the media sector regarding both technology and contents, through two fundamental axis:

  • The strengthening of research and development(R&D)
  • The promotion of innovation, both in the development of new goods and services and in instituting more efficient production processes.

Barcelona Media wants to establish itself as a first class centre for research and technology transfer, and as an international point of reference for the communications industry. The centre is working to become:

  • A model in technology transfer for the media industry and for the universities and centres of research.
  • A model in dialogue between government bodies and the private sector through which to channel R&D+i policies.
  • A model technology centre for the communication industry.

Our vocation of leadership as an innovation and techology transfer centre implies a narrow link with the society dipositary of the results of our research and as a referent for study and future opportunities development.

The impact of the result of our work in society, is then, a relevant factor and one of the axis on which our mission is grounded. Barcelona Media’s managers are sensible to the importance of environmental impacts and the need of the quality management and sustainable resources as a principle of coherence with our mission.

Quality and environment policy

Barcelona Media, sensible and conscious of the relationship with the environmnent is committed to maintain sustainable quality and management criteria and to assign efforts and resources to impregnate with this commitment all the internal processes. In this sense, the quality and environment policy of Barcelona Media becomes a general frame that is taken into account in order to define the internal processes, to evaluate their application and to propose improvement opportunities.

Barcelona Media is committed to:

  • Guarantee the fullfillment of the present regulations and the acquired commitments, specially in terms of environmental matters, in everything that may affect Barcelona Media’s activity.
  • Implement a control , management and improvement system that guarantees the efficient use of the necessary resources for their task development.
  • Prevent pollution.
  • Promote the participation in the continous improvement system, of all the implied agents in the productive process of Barcelona Media.
  • Disseminate the acknowledgement of this policy as well as the tools and activities to develop it.
  • Analyse and update the currect quality and environment policy in order to verify its effective and efficient performance and to incorporate the necessary improvements.
