Barcelona Media's principal activity is developing and executing innovation projects with partners from both the public and the private sectors.

Collaborative projects with public support

Barcelona Media – Innovation Centre presents and executes projects for almost all the public calls for proposals on a regional and state level (the CIDEM, PROFIT, CENIT and Torres Quevedo programs, etc.). At a European level, Barcelona Media is establishing itself as a leading edge organisation in the communications and audiovisual technologies industry. The high level of participation in the 6th Framework Program in terms of both research and coordination is not only being maintained but is being widened for the 7th Framework Program. 

Contractual projects

Barcelona Media has a wide experience in carrying out contractual projects with companies and institutions in the audiovisual field. Many of these contracts are effectuated in the service laboratories of the centre.
