Barcelona Media welcomes the SEMEDIA project partners in a technical follow-up meeting
Jun 11, 2008 - BM news
Barcelona Media (BM) headquarters hold the technical follow-up meeting of the SEMEDIA project on 11th and 12th June. The encounter gathers representatives of the nine partners of the European research programme, among which we find BM. The purpose is to supervise the work done in the last few months and to plan the forthcoming tasks.
The SEMEDIA (Search Environments for Media) project creates new methods, environments and tools of wide use for classification, search and recovery of vast heterogeneous data and it widens the research to the media technologies, artificial intelligence, image retrieval based on content and interfaces design.
SEMEDIA started one and half year ago and it is expected to end in June 2009. Apart from Barcelona Media, among the partners, we find the Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals (CCMA), Yahoo! Iberia and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
