Michele Marino takes part in the round table about 3D web navigation of the VII Forum TIG-SIG 2008

Michele Marino, director of the Laboratory of Virtual Visualization of Barcelona Media (BM), will participate, on 5 June, at 16 hours, in the round table "Navigation 3D: fashion or need?”. The act is framed in the seventh edition of the Forum TIG-SIG (Geographical Information Technologies –Geographical Information Systems). The meeting is organized together for the Asociació Catalana de Tecnologies de la Informació Geospacial (ACTIG) and the Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya (ICC), with the collaboration of Localret.

The first session of the Forum, which will be celebrated in the head office of the ICC, 4 and 5 June, will start with the seminar "Localret: a regulatory frame for the cartography" and it will treat the business initiatives in TIG sector and the tools to improve the knowledge of population and territory.

In the second day, the participants will discuss about the trends that stress future in the sector and about the navigation and mobility from the space. The speakers will analyze also an example of application of the TIG/SIG about legislation with territorial transposition. The Forum will finish with the round table in which, besides Michele Marino, Enric Rodella, of Port of Barcelona, Andrés Valentín, of SITNA/Navarra, Jordi López, of Wikiloc, Xavier Perarnau, of Seys, and Josep Ventura, of Geovirtual, will participate.
