Jordi Pardo opens a seminar on cultural management in Bolivia

Jordi Pardo, the Director of the Cultural Lab at Barcelona Media (BM), has taken part in the seminar “Participation of social agents in the promotion of culture and development”, held in the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz de la Sierra on 19th-22nd May.

On 19th May, Jordi Pardo gave the inaugural address, titled “The figure of the social agent in cultural development. Definition, profiles and levels of action”, while, on 21st May, he will be giving a talk on the subject of “Cultural management and development from private initiative”.

The objectives of the seminar, which has brought together professionals from more than 18 different countries, are: to analyse the figure of the social and cultural agent and the context in which diverse cultural policies are developed; to study the characteristics of agents and institutions that collaborate in the management of these policies; to enrich the lines of work between promoters and managers in Ibero-America, and to create permanent mechanisms of exchange in collaboration between them .

The seminar has been organised by the Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos para la Educación, la Ciéncia y la Cultura (OEI) in conjunction with the Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarollo (AECID), through the Programa de Formació i Capacitació en Cultura (ACERCA).
