Yahoo! Research Barcelona celebrates, 8 May, the seminar entitled “Exploring Temporal Contexts in Automatic Text Classification”, in the head office of Barcelona Media (BM). The session is leading by Leonardo Rocha, of the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, from Brazil.

Rocha has analysed how, due to the increasing amount of information being stored and accessible through the Web, Automatic Document Classification has become an important research topic.

El Yahoo! Research Barcelona, inaugurated in October 2006, is hosted in Barcelona Media headquarters and is directed by Ricardo Baeza-Yates, vice-president of Yahoo! Research for Europe and Latin America. The lab concentrates on research in the areas of Web search and mining, harnessing the strengths of the European academic search community through collaborations and joint projects.
