Pasqual Maragall visits Barcelona Media

On Friday 5 March, Pasqual Maragall, former president of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona's former mayor and current president of the Foundation Catalunya Europa, visited Barcelona Media accompanied by Jordi Serra, chief of cabinet, and Max Vives, director of the Foundation Catalunya Europe.
Maragall was received by Vincente López, executive vice-president of the Barcelona Media, and Jordi Pardo, director of the Laboratory of Culture and Tourism of the same entity. The general activity of the foundation was presented, especially the projects of the Laboratory of Culture and Tourism developed in Spain and other countries. There was particular emphasis on the projects done in Brazil and Vietnam.
Michele Marino, director of the Barcelona Media’s Virtual Visualization Lab presented the interactive virtual display system with real application examples of urban planning, infrastructure management and architecture. Pau Arumí, representing the Barcelona Media’s Audio Group, offered a demonstration of ongoing projects using 3D immersive sound technology.
At the end of the visit the expresident of the Generalitat de Catalunya signed the book of honour of Barcelona Media and a working lunch was held to discuss possible collaborative projects between Barcelona Media and the Catalan Foundation Europe.
