Creative City Perspectives

The book Creative City Perspectives has been published with the collaboration of eighteen experts in creative economy and creative cities. This work is addressed to a diverse audience: urban planners, economists, sociologists or cultural managers.

Jordi Pardo is the author of the chapter "Management and Governance for Creative Cities" a text that presents an international perspective on creative cities. This book has been coordinated by the author of the first Brazilian work about economy of culture and sustainable development, Ana Carla Fonseca, and the consultant about creative economy and founder of the multi-disciplinary conference Creative Cities Summit, Peter Kageyama. The digital publication compiles texts of John Howkins, author of the best-seller The Creative Economy; Charles Landry, author of The Creative City; or Jordi Pardo, director of the Culture and Tourism Lab of Barcelona Media, among others.

Creative City Perspectives is the first systematised work on the theme of creative cities, it encompasses the contribution of different authors from thirteen countries: Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, United Kingdom, The Nederland, Norway, United States, Israel, Brazil, Colombia, Taiwan and South-Africa.
