Barcelona Media and Mediapro welcome the third meeting of the European Project 2020 3D Media

The Imagina building, headquarters of Mediapro and Barcelona Media, will be the stage of the third meeting for the fourteen partners that integrate the consortium of the European research project 2020 3D Media. Barcelona Media, in its technical and administrative role of coordinator of the project, will lead the meeting and will organize, together with Mediapro, a technical seminar addressed to the researchers involved in the project.
The main goal of 2020 3D Media is the development of new technologies to give support to the acquisition, the coding, the edition, the net distribution, and the presentation of stereoscopic audiovisual and immersive means, capable of providing new forms of entertainment, at home as well as in the exhibition rooms. The users of the resulting technologies will be the professionals of the industry of the media, through cinema, television and the new media that produce contents for the public in general.
Barcelona Media collaborates in the 2020 3D Media carrying out research in the following areas: graphics, image processing, sound, experimental productions and evaluation of results with the users and the audiences.
