3. Projects
Research groups within the Audio research line participate, among others, in the following projects:
i3media is a research and development project for the creation and automated management of intelligent audiovisual content. The project is carried out by a consortium of the main enterprises of the media sector, with Barcelona Media (BM) collaboration. The research program being developed over a four-year period (2007-2010) and has the support of the Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio. Within this project, research focuses on the audio recording techniques for media productions.
The IP-RACINE (Integrated Project – Research Area CINEma) project ended in 2008. The main goal was to integrate all the processes of the Digital Cinema chain, from scene to screen. Audio research within this project focused on technologies for the automatization of audio post-production for digital cinema.

In the year 2008, a new European Integrated Project named 2020 3D Media, coordinated by Barcelona Media, has started. Research will continue on the automatization of audio post-production and audio exhibition for 3D digital media productions.
