5th Barcelona Media Seminar: Lines of research in Barcelona Media’s Information Management Group, by Rafael Banchs.
About 70 people attended the 5th Barcelona Media Seminar, where Rafael Banchs presented the research carried out by Barcelona Media’s Information Management Group. The seminar gave an overview of the group’s main research lines (information retrieval and data mining) as well as some insight of the most relevant results obtained so far. More specifically, the following topics were developed: text classification, document search and indexation, multilingual information retrieval, user pattern recognition, and recommendation systems. Banchs also talked about the relationship his group has with other lines of R+D in Barcelona Media.
Rafael Banchs is the Technical Coordinator of Barcelona Media’s Information Management Group.
