BM Seminars: Fabrizio Silvestri analyses the last researches in distributed information retrieval systems

Fabrizio Silvestri, researcher of the High Performance Computing Laboratory (HPC), of the Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologie dell’Informazione “Alessandro Faedo”, Pisa, Italy, has analysed the recent results in Distributed Information Retrievals Systems to the assistants of the 9th October session of BM Seminars’ cycle, which are organized by Barcelona Media. The conference was titled “Collection Prioritization and Incremental Caching”.

Fabrizio Silvestri is graduated as a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Pisa and, from 2004, is a HPC researcher. His team, directed by Raffaele Perego, is integrated by five senior researchers, five researchers, four doctorate students and two technicians. The group focuses its research in information retrieval, data and web mining, distributed search engines, etc.
